Khoj Yaan (earlier Khoj Dabba) program is an arts-based tinkering program built on the foundations of maker educa;on principles. The program, on one hand, is extremely experien;al and, on the other hand, is quite reflec;ve. In this the focus is to bring out the voice and choice of the students experiencing their power to express and articulate things around them. It is based on the construc;onism principles of Seymour Papert in which the learners create mental models to understand the world around them. Further, constructionism holds that learning can happen most effec;vely when people are ac;ve in making tangible objects in the real world. In this sense, constructionism is connected with experien;al learning and builds on Jean Piaget's epistemological theory of constructivism.
